Dr. Russell McCormack has been a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in the State of Illinois since 1995 and received his Secondary Social Studies Certification in 2003 from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois.
Dr. McCormack graduated from the University of California San Diego in 1987, the Illinois School of Professional Psychology in 1995 where he earned his Doctorate of Clinical Psychology Degree (Psy.D.) and Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois, in 2003.
Dr. McCormack has amassed an impressive resume over the past twenty years where he has worked in outpatient, inpatient, and day hospital settings. He has provided individual, marital, family, group, and adolescent psychotherapy. Dr. McCormack has administered psychological testing – including neuropsychological evaluations – mental status examinations, and personality / intelligence testing. He has facilitiated groups focused on eating disorders, adolescent issues, men’s issues, and geriatric issues. Dr. McCormack has spent the past two years providing psychological services to elderly populations in independent, assisted living, and nursing home residencies. He is currently Adjunct Professor at Aurora University in Aurora, Illinois and has also served in the same capacity at Judson University in Elgin, Illinois. Dr. McCormack joined Mark D. Parisi, Psy.D. & Associates, P.C. as an associate in 2015 and provided psychological services at a skilled nursing facility located in Naperville, Illinois.
Dr. McCormack was born in Dublin, Ireland and moved to the United States with his parents and siblings in the late 1970s. He has lived all over the United States, but is now happy to call DuPage County home. He has been married to wife, Julie, since 1990 and they have two grown up children together – Joshua and Jessica.
