Mrs. Anna Finkelshtein is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the State of Illinois.  She completed her undergraduate studies at Northeastern Illinois University in 2012 and went on to earn her Masters Degree in Social Work (MSW) from Loyola University of Chicago in 2018 with an emphasis on Mental Health.   Anna completed her internship at EZRA Multi-Service Center in Chicago where she gained experience working as part of a poverty-prevention agency – providing case management and advocacy with a varied client population.

More recently, Anna has worked with SeniorLife at the Center for the Jewish Elderly (CJE), Holocaust Community Services, as a counselor and outreach coordinator.  In this role, Anna has gained extensive experience in working with the elderly – both English and Russian-speaking individuals – providing counseling, case management, and advocacy for Holocaust survivors in the Chicagoland area.  She has become expert in the use of Person Centered Trauma Informed approach, or PCTI, which is widely considered one of the treatments of choice in working with trauma.  This approach puts each client at the center of the therapeutic experience and focuses on preventing re-traumatization as well as on establishing trust throughout the psychotherapy process.

Anna varied background includes working with children grades K-8 in a school setting as a counselor as well as working with families.  Anna’s therapeutic orientation includes the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Brief Solution Focused Therapy and Play Therapy techniques.

Anna joined Dr. Parisi & Associates, P.C. in 2018 and currently works at the suburban Mount Prospect location providing outpatient services to children, adolescents, and adults.  Anna is Russian bilingual.
