Beth Elia, Psy.D. is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in Illinois.  She obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree (B.S.), Cum Laude, in Psychology from The Arizona State University in 1997 and went on to earn her Masters of Science Degree (M.S.) in Counseling and Education in 2002 from the same prestigious university.  Beth completed her Doctor of Psychology Degree (Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology in 2007 from the American School of Professional Psychology, Argosy University in Phoenix, Arizona.  Her doctoral dissertation was focused on the positive effects of parental involvement on a child’s academic success.

Since graduating, Beth has amassed a wide array of experiences across the age spectrum.  She has worked for several years with male inmates in corrections and with elderly patients in skilled nursing and assisted living facilities.  She has worked in private practice with all age groups and has more recently served as a Clinical Neuropsychologist.  Beth’s vast clinical experience includes working with clients diagnosed with severe mental illness, sociopathy, mood disorders, autistic spectrum disorder, Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), cognitive disorders, and substance abuse and eating disorders.  She has many years of experience in working with families and couples as well.

Dr. Elia has worked for Dr. Parisi & Associates, P.C. on two separate occasions.  Her most recent role is focused on providing expert neuropsychological evaluation of residents living in skilled nursing and assisted living facilities.  Beth’s long-term professional goal is to continue her research and program development focused on assisting youth in obtaining academic success through the support of their family unit.

Beth is a Member of the American Psychological Association.  In her free time, Beth enjoys cooking, being active, and taking in sporting events.
