Ms. Fatema Marvi, M.A., LPC completed her undergraduate studies at Elmhurst College where she earned her Bachelor of Science Degree (B.S.) in 2015 in Psychology with a minor in Political Science and Urban Studies.  She went on to earn her Master of Arts Degree (M.A.) in Counseling from The Family Institute at Northwestern University in 2018.

Fatema has a broad-based background in counseling and has completed training and experience in working with children, adolescents, adults and geriatric clients.  Her therapeutic approach is integrative where she draws on her training in Psychodynamic Theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Multi-Cultural Theory.  Fatema was born and raised in the Chicagoland area but proudly comes from an Asian-Pakistani cultural background.  She incorporates culture and religion in her approach and is keen to learn from clients of other backgrounds.

Fatema joined Dr. Parisi & Associates, P.C. in 2017 as a Practicum Student and has stayed on where she is now working as a Clinical Counseling Extern focused on working in Dr. Parisi’s outpatient and nursing home practices.  Fatema is a native speaker of Gujarati and Urdu and is passionate about serving the mental health needs of the Asian-Pakistani-Indian populations.  In her free time, Fatema enjoys traveling, painting, and exploring Chicago’s prestigious culinary scene.
