Dr. Shani Bensman-Correa is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in the State of Illinois.  She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison earning her Bachelor of Science Degree with honors (B.S.) in Human Development and Family Studies in 2007.  Shani went on to earn her Master of Arts Degree (M.A.) and Doctor of Psychology Degree (Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2012.  She completed her internship and residency at the Allendale Association, Bradley Counseling Center, in Lake Villa where she worked with children, adolescents, and adults with a wide array of diagnoses and presenting problems.

Clinically, Shani has worked as both a Clinical Psychologist and Neuropsychologist at ARCC Neuropsychology in Lombard where she provided expert neuropsychological evaluations of clients in outpatient settings, assisted living facilities, and hospitals and also provided psychotherapy to clients in these same settings.  She also served as a Clinical Supervisor for postdoctoral residents.  She has experience in working with children, adolescents, and adults in outpatient and inpatient settings and has highly specialized training and experience in providing neuropsychological evaluation of depression, anxiety, ADHD, learning disorders, dementia, other neurocognitive disorders, and personality disorders.

Shani joined Dr. Parisi & Associates, P.C. in 2018 and works in Dr. Parisi’s outpatient practice at his Chicago location on Devon & Pulaski and at area skilled nursing homes.  This has allowed her to continue working in areas which she is passionate about including neuropsychology, geriatrics, and grief and loss issues.  In her free time, Shani keeps busy seeing shows, getting exercise, and attending events in the City with her husband, family, and friends.  She also enjoys quiet nights at home with her husband and two cats, Tajar and Tyrion.
